SHIPPING INFORMATION AND CHARGES

There are a wide range of shipping services available.  Ground service transportation shall be utilized unless otherwise requested.

EXPEDITED SHIPPING SERVICES are available upon request.  We must charge the customer the additional cost for these expedited services.  The exact shipping charges will be communicated to the customer prior to shipping the order or unless otherwise instructed.

For orders over $250.00 "adult signature required" is mandatory.  This is to protect you and AK Collectables for your merchandise.

Please note that the customer is paying for shipping costs only as above.  All of the packaging and handling is free.  AK Collectables will pay for INSURANCE as necessary.

All orders will be processed promptly (within 48 hours).  In the event that this is not possible (ex:  heavy volume, vacation, or purchasing tripJ) notification will be made along with an estimated time of shipment.

Under the rare circumstances where an item is received damaged, please notify AK Collectables immediately.  Please see damage policy.


SHIPPING CONFIRMATION

Once an order has been processed,  you will receive a message, by email or telephone, confirming that the order has been shipped.

Do you combine shipping? 
As a general rule, yes.  As long as the items can be combined or boxed together we will combine shipping.  Some items may be too large, bulky, or fragile to package together and have to be sent separately.  We would be happy to consider special rates or arrangements for larger orders upon request.

Do you ship to P.O. Boxes?
Sorry, Fed Ex does not, so we do not. 

Do you offer local pick-up or C.O.D. orders?
Sorry, we do not.

Do you deliver orders locally?
Upon request, special arrangements for direct local delivery in the Palm Beach, Martin, St. Lucie, Dade, or Broward county areas can be made.

RETURN POLICY


1) ONLINE PURCHASES

The product is guaranteed to be as described and pictured.  We guarantee 100% satisfaction with your online purchase.  If not, arrangements will be made for a full refund or replacement if possible.  Refund will be provided upon safe return of the item in its’ original condition within 10 days.

In order to return the item, you must CONTACT US via phone or email within this 10 day period.  If we are not contacted, we will not accept the package and it shall be returned to the sender at sender’s cost.

All returned items must be sent back in the original packaging or be repacked by an authorized shipper/shipping dealer.  Please return the items with any packing slips.

The buyer is responsible for return shipping costs unless the return is for damage or a wrong item sent.


2) PICKUP OR DELIVERY PURCHASES

The above 10 day return policy will be honored.  Under circumstances where damage occurs to an item that was picked up or delivered without any damage, AK Collectables reserves the right not to accept return of the item or to accept it back at a reduced value due to the damage.

DAMAGE POLICY


If you receive an item that is broken or damaged, firstly, we apologize for the incident.  Due to the nature of our products, some damage may occasionally occur during shipping, despite how carefully an item is packaged.  Unfortunately, sometimes during the shipping process, accidents occur (ex: an item can fall off a conveyor belt) or items can be mishandled (ex: thrown or dropped off the back of a truck).

If a box arrives damaged upon arrival, please CONTACT US immediately so we can help resolve the matter in a fair and timely fashion.  This may entail initiating an insurance claim process through the shipping company.  These claims can take many weeks, or even months, to resolve.  To ensure the process goes smoothly, and to be able to recoup the full value of the product, the following steps MUST be followed.  Firstly, we must be notified within one business day from the date of delivery, no exceptions please.

AK Collectables will file the insurance claim, if necessary.


DAMAGE POLICY PROCEDURE


1)    Note the condition of the box on the delivery receipt before signing it.  Ask the driver to sign or initial the receipt as well.

2)    Notify AK Collectables immediately.  Do not open the box until the buyer/recipient of the product has communicated by email or phone with AK Collectables.  For very expensive items that appear negligently handled, we may recommend that the box be opened only in the presence of an inspector from the shipping company.

3)    Take photos of the box prior to opening it.  This photographic documentation is very important to the claim process.

4)    Contact the carrier to schedule a claims inspection at your home or place of business.  AK Collectables will file the insurance claim per se.

5)    Save all packaging material AND the original carton that was used in shipping.  If this is not saved for an inspector to see, the chances of obtaining any fair claim from any shipping company approaches zero!

6)    After AK Collectables has received (a) photos of the damaged item and (b) documentation of inspection, you may then return the item to us.  When the item has been received by us, not prior, a refund will then be issued.


Please understand that this process is NECESSARY, as insurance claims tend to be very difficult to obtain.  Hence, this policy MUST be followed.  If not, AK Collectables reserves the right to refuse return of the item or to extend a refund.
